Sake Cocktails
Sake cocktails have become quite popular as of late. I personally do not like to mix my sake with other ingredients, but I’m well aware that a lot of people like to, so for your benefit here are some of the better sake coctail recipes.
Sake Martini
in a shaker, mix
1.5 oz Gin or vodka
.5 oz sake
.5 oz cranberry juice (optional)
Pour into martini glass, serve with coctail olive.
Sake Margarita
in a blender, combine
2 oz sake
.5 oz triple sec
1.5 oz lime juice
1/2 cup ice
or
In a shaker, combine the same ingredients and shake
Pour into salt-rimmed margarita glass.
Sake Bomb
Pour equal amounts of sake and beer into a beer mug.
Sake Screwdriver
2 oz sake
6 oz orange juice
Fill a glass 1/3 of the way with ice. Add 2oz sake, then fill the rest of the glass with orange juice.
Red Sun
1 oz sake
2 oz tomato juice
Stir sake and tomato juice, pour into tumbler with ice. Garnish with parsley.
